Look Inside Draw Manga Action
Bam! The hero of your favourite show wins the final battle in an awesome scene, inspiring you to draw it - but how do you make it look dynamic?
Draw Manga Action by David Fülecki is your answer. The book explores all the different ways you can draw an action scene in the style of Japanese manga, and offers plenty of techniques for making it impactful, striking and stylistic.
Design Your Hero
Draw Manga Action walks you through the basics of character design, from building their personality to the ways in which their quirks, traits and archetypes can be represented by their shape and appearance. With techniques like the character diamond, you can add immediate depth and variety to any character.
Once you understand your characters, you'll have everything that you need to create the perfect action-packed comic.
This fun book is authored by one of Europe's leading manga artists David Füleki, award-winning mangaka and well-known influencer - you can check out his popular Instagram page here!
Movement and Perspective
The first step of every dynamic movement in art is to understand them in real life. Draw Manga Action explains how to draw real martial arts, before leading into the common manga fighting moves, superpowers included.
Along with these instructions, the book guides you through different "camera angles" for buildings, people and more so that every drawing will be proportional no matter how you view it. With an interactive layout in a comic-strip design, this book speaks directly to all manga enthusiasts and will soon have you drawing your own panels.
Example Illustrations
If the myriad of tips and tricks weren't enough, the book is full of gorgeous illustrated examples alongside little character doodles to add a splash of humour.
As the book's drawings change from sketches to finished art in both black-and-white and full colour, you'll be growing your skills project-by-project and learning everything that you need to capture epic battles, heroes in cool poses or charismatic sports figures with unique hairstyles.
