Grab your pencils and sketchbooks and join the team at North Kensington Library for fun and inspiring manga workshop with Chie Kutsuwada!

Calling all manga lovers and budding artists! Join Chie Kutsuwada as she delivers a fun and interactive manga workshop for children and teenagers.

Chie will introduce her work and dive into how manga has become such a popular and loved art form in Japan, and how it is so unique.

She will then lead a fun “Draw Along with Me” activity, where participants can learn simple techniques to draw a manga-style bust-up character step-by-step.

After, we will explore the basics of creating a unique and appealing manga character. Using a special character design sheet, everyone will have the chance to develop and design their own original manga character.

All materials will be provided, but if you have your own sketchbook and pencils, please feel free to bring them along!
